The style of your wedding will dictate the style of wedding songs you have, particularly for your wedding ceremony. For a religious ceremony the music is more traditional and may include hymns during the service. A civil ceremony is more relaxed and you can choose any style of music so long as it doesnâ??t have any religious references.

If you are having a religious ceremony you may be handed a list of pre-determined wedding songs to use during the ceremony. This is not because the venue only wants you to have music of their choosing, but because these are songs they deem suitable and for which the organist has music.

I have listened to Jimi Hendrix since I can remember and he was probably the first person I ever wanted to be when I was a kid. I love the guitar but I can play it about as much as I can walk on the moon. When I was much younger I attempted to take guitar lessons, but I didn’t have my own guitar and had to use my dads. The problem with that is, I’m left handed and my dad right handed and so we had to keep switching the strings about which my dad moaned at. There was no way I could play the guitar left handed like Jimi so I eventually gave up and decided to appreciate the guitar skills in others and focus my energy on other things.

When talking about one of the greatest songs ever recorded, A Day In The Life Beatles must be considered as that top song. The significance of the song, however, can be attributed to the long time producer, George Martin, who wrote a sound changing atonal crescendo for a full orchestra to fill in a missing gap in the middle of the song. As the band was recording in the studio, a completely different type of sound emerged in the creation of ‘Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band’. This landmark record, which took over 34 hours in total to record, was one of the most ambitious of all their albums. Hailed as one of the great records of all time, the breadth of music, sound, and instruments that made up the song list is wide and varied.
