Sir Paul McCartney – Long And Winding Road – Live 8

Long and winding road performed by (Sir) Paul mccartney at live 8. There seems to be a slight lipsync issue, hope it’s not too off-putting.

Bringing a bubbly exuberance and mainstream pop sensibility to the country scene made the Dixie Chicks one of the hottest country acts of the ’90s-and certainly one of the biggest in mainstream country history. Over the ensuing decades they’ve risen as the quintessential pop band for cowpokes of all brands, despite working through controversy stemming from their outspoken political beliefs.

Makeida Causes Road Block in Atlanta at Sweet Auburn Springfest 2008!

Makeida flew in for the Atlanta’s very own Sweet Auburn Springfest 2008 all the way from London and performed throughout the weekend gathering 1,000’s of fans along the way.

I had to rescue Makeida from her newest number #1 fan as he announced to me that he just proposed to her at Fort Street by the NBA Shooting Hoops with the Celebrities venue. She almost didn’t make it back home… (Smile)

Makeida’s music was played by the staff at the V-103 booth and to my surprise, as I walked up and down Auburn Avenue I heard Makeida’s music being played over the NBA Court as well. Wow!

Abbey Road: Song by Song

Abbey Road was the last studio album The Beatles recorded. There’s some confusion over this bit of trivia because Let It Be was released in 1970 and Abbey Road was released in 1969. But Let It Be had actually already been recorded, it had just been shelved due to the band being unhappy with it. It wasn’t until Abbey Road had already been recorded and released that the band hired Phil Specter to “salvage” Let It Be with his production work.

Abbey Road was a huge critical & commercial success. It remains one of The Beatles most popular albums to this day.
